oh 909 oh 303 floating cross the room to me the whispered word said Ecstasy inside my head then lived with me sine waves up the narrow stairs the older boys from school were there more acid than mdma the fear took all our words away what were the skies like when you were young? I remember running home the whisper word said if you dare to sleep the walls are coming crashing in oh 303 oh 909 beating in this heart of mine I found my friends in the park and joined the gently swinging up and down gently we came down

I still have anxiety dreams about school your dad’s here, are you really tripping? My finger on the pause button taping it all to tell me how to feel to tell me how to feel news flash the year was nervous all the kids ran away with the circus en masse hands in the air I don’t know how to get there I’m the music on my walkman to tell me how to feel now under, over

Walk a mile under the flyovers over the circular to the slip road north the roaring past thanks for picking me up

famous for the after party ‘now it starts’ written on the stair everywhere empty air empty cans no we don’t care we’re the crashing upstairs we’re the spinning out the window broken records in the street waking up in the early early evening my house is your house and your house is mine we don’t care about your children shouting over another banger twisted ankles twisted up so glad there’s not many pictures flickers in and out of vision waking up in another nother era my house is your house and your house is mine
10.
hear the late nights talking the walking home in shame not so young and foolish full of it so much I mustn’t share good times people come together all the good times twisted up together and the good times we’ll see each other and we are we are friends we don’t know how long we’ve got to lose all sense of how we got here one by one we all go home to start a new life time to move on
